Valtrans’ clients, employees and a few students from Dubai were given a glimpse of the life in the outer space in an inspirational talk by the former National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) astronaut, Dr. Donald Thomas.

The American engineer has inspired everyone in the crowd by emphasizing to never give up on your dreams and to stir the team spirit in any organization. The Overcoming Obstacles and Reaching for the Stars Talk was held in the ballroom B & C of Sheraton Dubai Creek last February 15, 2016 at 5 PM.

In his quest to follow his childhood dream as an astronaut, he was rejected 3 times by NASA. Each time, he improved himself and gained other skills to increase his qualifications to become an elite member of NASA. On his fourth attempt and at the age of 39, he finally got his sought-after "yes" from NASA to launch his mission and research in the outer space.

Dr. Thomas stressed that you should never ever give up on your dreams. If you have the passion to do something, remember that it will take a lot of time and hard work but you will certainly accomplish it.

Teamwork has also been a big factor for their missions in space. With the very little room for mistakes for every expedition, trainings and more training were required before setting for space blast. Valtrans has always believed in this advocacy that you need to put your employees in a rigorous training so as not to set them for failure once you get them aboard the company

Dr. Thomas has captivated the audience with his interesting chronicles of weightlessness in the outer space, the amazing views of the Earth from the universe, eating frozen-dried meals, how to reach the space and orbit the Earth in such a very short time and the everyday life inside the space shuttle.

Valtrans vows to sponsor inspirational talks and seminars that will encourage career and life enhancement for its employees, stakeholders and clientele.
